Replace text with UUID

What’s a “UUID” and do you need it? If your devs are talking about it, probably yes!

A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a long, random string that uniquely identifies things like users or records in a database without worrying about clashing names. For example f47ac10b-58cc-4372-a567-0e02b2c3d479. Yup, it’s that long and random!

Now, with Replace Text with UUID plugin, you can quickly swap any selected text in your design with a unique UUID or an empty one. This tool does the heavy lifting for you.

Nil/Empty UUIDs 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 are useful for creating base template screens where you can swap it out to random ones.

Options this plugin can do

Any text → UUID

All selected text will each be replaced with a unique UUID
